The RFA Lyme Bay, a Bay-class auxiliary dock landing ship operated by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, has been placed on heightened readiness while docked in Gibraltar, according to a statement from the UK Ministry of Defence.

The vessel is preparing for a possible deployment to the Eastern Mediterranean as regional tensions continue to rise.
