A security and political source in Iran told Al Mayadeen that mediators have put forward proposals to halt the war, but Tehran has outlined six conditions under what it describes as a new legal and strategic framework:
1. Guarantees that the conflict will not resume
2. Closure of U.S. military bases across the region
3. Compensation for damages caused by the attacks
4. An end to all regional conflicts
5. A new legal framework governing the Strait of Hormuz
6. Prosecution and extradition of media personnel considered hostile to Iran

The source added that Iran will continue operations to “punish the aggressor” until what it called “American and Zionist aggression” is addressed, stating that current actions are part of a pre-planned strategy developed months in advance.
