Germany is pressing ahead with its major military buildup and now plans to acquire more than 200 RCH 155 wheeled self-propelled howitzers by the end of the year.

Deliveries are slated to begin in 2028, and the RCH 155 alone would nearly double Germany’s current self-propelled artillery fleet. The UK is also set to contribute to the system’s development.
