U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has released footage of the first-ever strike on an alleged narco-terrorist vessel in the Eastern Pacific under Operation Southern Spear, marking the twenty-second strike on a vessel in the region since August.

According to SOUTHCOM, the strike—conducted by Joint Task Force–Southern Spear (JTF-SS) under the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth—targeted a vessel engaged in illicit narcotics smuggling, traveling along a known trafficking route in international waters and carrying narcotics. The operation resulted in the deaths of three suspected members of a designated terrorist organization.
