As of this morning, October 31, the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) remains in the Ionian Sea off the coast of Italy, awaiting the arrival of the remaining vessels from Carrier Strike Group Twelve (CSG-12), which are currently operating in the Mediterranean. Once the group is consolidated, the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is expected to begin its two-week—or possibly longer—voyage toward the Caribbean, with arrival projected between November 12 and 17.
