U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack says Washington and Ankara are actively discussing Türkiye’s bid to rejoin the F-35 program. He emphasized that Türkiye must relinquish its Russian S-400 system to return. Barrack added that the Trump–Erdoğan relationship has created the most productive dialogue on the issue in nearly a decade, and both sides are hoping for a breakthrough soon.
