Q: “If you’re not attacking your neighbors, why did the Iranian president apologize?”

Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran:
“First of all, in our culture, an apology is a sign of dignity and strength. Secondly, he apologized to the peoples of the region for the hardships they have faced because of this aggression by the United States and the retaliation that followed from us.

In reality, it is the President of the United States who should apologize to the people of the region and to the Iranian people for the killings and destruction carried out against us.”
