On Fox News, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham defended potential U.S. spending for military strikes against Iran, arguing that such an operation would be a worthwhile investment for the United States.
When asked how he would respond if the United States Department of Defense requested $50 billion to fund the strikes, Graham replied:
“Best money ever spent. […] When this regime goes down, we’re going to make a ton of money.”
He added:
“What’s it worth to America to take down a religious Nazi regime that’s trying to build a nuclear weapon to deliver to America? That’s a really good investment.”
Graham has been one of the most vocal advocates in Washington for strong military action against Iran and has repeatedly supported U.S. strikes aimed at weakening or toppling the Iranian government.
