Speaking earlier today on NBC’s Meet the Press about the operation to capture Nicolás Maduro, Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed questions about future U.S. policy in Latin America.

When asked by Kristen Welker whether the Cuban government could be the Trump administration’s next target, Rubio said the Cuban government is “a huge problem” and added that it is “in a lot of trouble.” While declining to outline specific next steps or policies, Rubio emphasized that it is no secret the administration strongly opposes the Cuban regime.
