According to the White House, President Donald J. Trump was only informed about today’s Israeli strike on Doha, Qatar, while the attack was already underway. He instructed Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to notify Qatar. The White House added that the president “feels very badly” about the strike’s location and has assured Qatar there will be no further attacks on its territory. He later spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
