Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), better known as Skunk Works, has revealed its newest stealth drone for the U.S. Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Program, called Vectis. According to The War Zone, Vectis is built to be highly adaptable to the needs of its operators—whether in the U.S. or partner nations—with the first variant expected to fly by 2028.
“Meet Vectis, a Group 5, survivable, lethal, and reusable Collaborative Combat Aircraft that reflects our legacy in crewed fighter design, autonomy, and uncrewed systems, all enabled by our Agile Drone Framework,” said O.J. Sanchez, Vice President and General Manager of Skunk Works. “Vectis will deliver U.S. and allied forces range, endurance, and multi-mission flexibility across air-to-air, air-to-surface, and ISR [Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance] missions.”
