The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations has issued a fresh advisory following a suspected attack on a merchant vessel in the northern Persian Gulf, roughly 30 nautical miles southeast of Mubarak Al Kabeer, Kuwait.
According to the report, the crew heard a large explosion along the port side of the ship and observed an oil slick forming on the water as a small craft quickly left the area.
