Ukrainian FPV interceptor drones are now actively targeting and destroying larger Russian UAVs, including two Forpost-R medium-altitude, long-endurance drones shown here being taken down.

These interceptions are significantly weakening Russia’s aerial surveillance capabilities.

The shift follows a difficult period for Ukraine in late 2023 and early 2024, when Russian drones operating beyond the frontlines identified and tracked key Ukrainian units, enabling precision strikes by Russian missile forces.
