Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister of Australia, revealed on Thursday that three submariners from the Royal Australian Navy were onboard the USS Charlotte (SSN-766) when it sank the Iranian Moudge-class frigate IRIS Dena (75).

The submarine, a Los Angeles-class submarine, reportedly carried out the attack in international waters off the coast of Sri Lanka on March 4.
