Israeli forces, including reservists from the 810th Mountain Regional Brigade, recently conducted a raid on former Syrian regime military sites near Mount Hermon, seizing more than three tons of weapons, including anti-tank mines, explosives, and rockets.

Since the fall of the Assad regime in December, the IDF has been operating up to 15 kilometers inside southern Syria, targeting nine positions—many within a UN-monitored buffer zone—to disrupt arms smuggling into Lebanon and secure weapons that could pose a threat to Israel if obtained by hostile groups.
