On Saturday, a major cyberattack targeted ARINC cMUSE, a check-in and boarding system developed by Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX Corporation (Raytheon), causing widespread disruptions and significant delays at multiple European airports. Impacted hubs included London Heathrow, Berlin Brandenburg, Brussels, as well as Cork and Dublin in Ireland.
“The disruption is limited to electronic check-in and baggage drop and can be managed through manual procedures,” RTX said in a statement, noting that work is underway to resolve the issue. Airports, however, are bracing for delays to continue through Monday.
