⚡️Marco Rubio, Secretary of State and now Acting Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has delivered a Letter to Congressional Leaders within the House & Senate Foreign Affairs and Appropriations Committees; notifying them that he has directed Peter W. Marocco to serve as Deputy Administrator of USAID, to begin the process of reviewing and potentially reorganizing USAID Activities to Maximize Efficiency and align Operations with National Interests. He states that the reorganization may include, the suspension and elimination of certain Programs, Projects, or Activities; closing or suspending Missions or Posts; closing, reorganizing, downsizing, or renaming Establishments, Organizations, Bureaus, Centers, or Offices; reducing the size of the Workforce at such Entities; and contracting out or privatizing Functions or Activities performed by Federal Employees.
