Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez urged the international community to suspend arms sales to Israel after Israeli fire wounded UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.

Sanchez condemned the attacks and criticized Israel's military actions against UN forces, highlighting Spain's decision to halt arms exports to Israel in October 2023.

He called for a unified global response to reduce tensions in the region.

Spain currently has 650 peacekeepers stationed in Lebanon, with a Spanish general leading the mission.
