U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has released footage of a strike earlier today on a suspected narco-trafficking vessel in the Eastern Pacific — the first such operation under Operation Southern Spear since November 15. According to SOUTHCOM, the strike, ordered by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, killed four suspected members of a designated terrorist organization. Intelligence indicated that the vessel was carrying illicit narcotics and traveling along a known trafficking route off the coast of Latin America.
