IDF Spokesman Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated earlier today that initial assessments indicate the damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear program is “not a localized blow, but a systemic one.” He emphasized, “The accumulated impact leads us to conclude that Iran’s nuclear program has suffered extensive, severe, and long-term setbacks—delayed by years. We will not permit Iran to develop weapons of mass destruction.”

For the first time, Zamir also confirmed that Israeli commando and special forces operated inside Iran during the twelve-day conflict. “We inflicted heavy damage on Iran’s missile capabilities, neutralized hundreds of launchers, and significantly disrupted their force buildup plans,” he said. “We achieved intelligence, technological, and aerial dominance, granting us full operational freedom in Iranian airspace and any target area we selected.”

“These elite units operated covertly deep within enemy territory and executed missions that enabled our continued strategic operations,” he added.
