According to emerging reports, the Louvre was broken into by three to four thieves who used a service elevator to access the Napoleon Bonaparte jewelry wing through a window. The burglars entered calmly, dressed in uniforms as if they were part of maintenance or renovation work, with visitors only realizing a robbery was taking place when the thieves began smashing display glass to steal the pieces. They then exited the same way they came in and vanished. The entire operation reportedly lasted around four minutes.
