CBS News reports that another high-ranking official under Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has been dismissed. Justin Fulcher, who began his Pentagon career in Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) before rising to become a senior advisor to Secretary Hegseth, was removed from his role this week.

Fulcher’s departure is the latest in a series of leadership shakeups at the Department of Defense following the “Signalgate” scandal in March. That incident led to the firing of Hegseth’s senior adviser Dan Caldwell and Deputy Chief-of-Staff Dan Selnick amid a leak investigation. In April, Hegseth’s Chief-of-Staff Joe Kasper was reassigned to a new role as a special government employee, overseeing “special projects” within the Trump administration.
