According to Axios, the second round of nuclear talks between the United States and Iran are expected to take place this coming Saturday in Rome, after the Trump Administration was said to have been “satisfied” with the first round of indirect talks in Oman. While negotiations may not take place in Oman, they are likely to take place either direct or indirect with Omani mediators. Officials with the Trump Administration appear to be moving away from an initial public demand of total denuclearization, instead pushing for Iran to take steps in the near future that move its nuclear program further from weaponization.
