The Syrian Embassy in Spain has replaced its flag, removing the red, white, and black tricolor with two green stars, adopted in 1958 after the Ba'ath Party coup. It has been replaced by the green, white, and black tricolor with three red stars, a design based on the flag adopted in 1930 during the First Syrian Republic.
