⚡️In addition to the joint statement by the UK, Canada, the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand condemning the election of Aleksandr Lukashenko in Belarus, the UK, in concert with Canada, has announced sanctions against 6 individuals and 3 entities in Belarus. The sanctions target individuals responsible for human rights abuses, the subversion of the democratic process inside of Belarus, and entities directly connected to Belarusian support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.
