According to reports, Egypt reached an agreement with China in June 2025 to purchase 10 WJ-700 drones for $400 million.

The WJ-700 is a jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). It has a top speed of about 700 km/h, an endurance of up to 20 hours, and can carry a weapons payload of up to 800 kg.
