Iran is interfering with the GPS and AIS signals of ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz, significantly increasing the risk of collisions and accidents—especially since many of these vessels are oil tankers.

According to some sources, the Iranian Navy is preparing to “shut down” the strait this Sunday, blocking a vital route through which roughly one-third of the world’s natural gas and a quarter of its oil supply flows.
