Ukraine has launched one of its largest drone offensives to date, targeting military facilities and defense plants across several Russian regions.
According to Russia’s Ministry of Defense, 94 drones were reportedly intercepted over the past 12 hours, though several managed to strike their intended targets:
• Voronezh Region: Drones hit a storage site at the Borisoglebsk military airfield, destroying a cache of guided bombs.
• Cheboksary: Multiple drones impacted a defense facility producing antenna systems designed to protect drones from Ukrainian electronic warfare.
• Leningrad Region: Two drones were downed. In response to the aerial threat, more than 50 flights were delayed and 13 canceled at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport.
• Engels: Residents reported explosions near the key military airbase, a hub for Russian strategic bombers.
• Moscow: The capital was also targeted by drones this morning, according to a statement from the city’s mayor.
