According to U.S. Defense Officials, the Pentagon is set announce its decision by Friday on which finalist defense manufacturer, Lockheed Martin or Boeing, will be awarded the initial contact worth $20 billion for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Program, meant to eventually replace the F-22 “Raptor” Stealth Fighter. Whichever company is chosen, will receive hundreds of billions in orders over the next few decades, as the replacement for the F-22 is finally put into production and eventually enters service with the U.S. Air Force.
