Two rockets were reportedly launched at the Golan Heights in Israel from southern Syria earlier today, both landing in open areas near Ramat Magshimim without causing any damage or injuries. In response, the Israel Defense Forces conducted artillery strikes against the launch site in southern Syria.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz placed direct blame on Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, stating, “We consider the Syrian president directly responsible for every threat and attack against the State of Israel, and a full response will come as soon as possible.”

This comes despite the fact that much of southwestern Syria, likely including the area where the rockets were launched, is currently “off limits” to forces loyal to President al-Sharaa due to Israel’s ongoing occupation of the region.
