IDF Spokesperson:

The IDF has eliminated senior Hezbollah operative Hussein Nazih Barji in an airstrike near Tyre in southern Lebanon.

Barji played a central role as a weapons engineer within Hezbollah’s research and production division, overseeing the development and maintenance of its precision missile infrastructure. His targeted killing is part of Israel’s broader effort to dismantle Hezbollah’s weapons production and rebuilding operations in the wake of Operation “Northern Arrows.”

The IDF noted that Barji’s actions violated the Israel-Lebanon understanding and emphasized it will continue to neutralize threats to Israeli security.
