According to the Washington Post, U.S. President Trump is likely to grant Ukraine permission to use its limited stock of the long-range variant of the MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), which have a range of over 200 miles and were provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces beginning in 2024 for their M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), to strike targets deep inside of Russia.
Additionally, President Trump is said to be considering providing Ukraine with a land-based variant of the “Tomahawk” Land-Attack Cruise Missile (TLAM), which has an unclassified range of well over 1,000 miles and would easily allow Ukraine to strike Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other targets extremely deep inside Russia, even as far as the Ural Mountains.
