It’s remarkable how old weapon systems are performing unexpectedly well in such a high-tech war like Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Weapons once considered obsolete and outdated have now become essential on the front lines. In this video, for instance, we see a Zu-23-2 in action — a Soviet-era twin-barreled 23mm anti-aircraft cannon developed in the 1960s. Although it had long been relegated to museums and army scrap depots, it is now widely used by Ukraine to defend — with great success — against Iranian-made Shahed drones launched by Russia.
