According to Bloomberg, the United States is prepared to internationally recognize the Crimean Peninsula in Southeastern Ukraine, which was captured by Russia during its initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014, as a territory of the Russia Federation, under a peace agreement to end the fighting between Moscow and Kyiv.
