According to a statement from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the United Kingdom has withdrawn its embassy staff from Iran due to security concerns.

The move comes as U.S.–Iran negotiations show little progress and the American military presence in the region overseen by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) continues to expand. The FCDO said the embassy will continue operating remotely.
