In a post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump called for the immediate dismissal of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s renewed corruption trial. Trump wrote, “Bibi and I just went through HELL together, fighting a long-standing, tough, and brilliant enemy of Israel — Iran. And Bibi couldn’t have been more dedicated, more focused, or more powerful in his LOVE for the incredible Holy Land. He was a WARRIOR — maybe the greatest in Israel’s history — and together, we achieved the impossible: the elimination of what could have become one of the world’s most dangerous nuclear weapons.”
Trump went on to describe the legal proceedings against Netanyahu as a politically motivated “WITCH HUNT” against a leader “who has given so much.” He added, “He deserves far better than this — and so does the State of Israel.”
The former president concluded by calling for the trial to be “CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY” or for Netanyahu to be pardoned, declaring, “The United States of America saved Israel — and now it’s going to save Bibi Netanyahu. THIS TRAVESTY OF ‘JUSTICE’ CANNOT BE ALLOWED!”
