According to an Iraqi port official, two foreign tankers carrying Iraqi fuel oil were attacked within Iraqi territorial waters in the Persian Gulf within the last hour, causing both vessels to catch fire.

Authorities in Iraq have evacuated 25 crew members from the ships so far as emergency response efforts continue.
