Authorities in Utah County have filed seven charges against 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk last week during an event at Utah Valley University. According to a 10-page charging document, Robinson faces counts including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. The document cites multiple pieces of evidence tying Robinson to the crime, including a confession he allegedly made to his parents and a roommate, as well as his DNA being found on the rifle’s trigger. Prosecutors announced they will seek the death penalty. Robinson made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
