Footage from the ballistic missile impact site in Petah Tikva, just east of Tel Aviv, shows several floors of two high-rise residential buildings completely destroyed. One of the towers also appears to have sustained notable structural damage.

The resilience of modern residential construction in Israel is remarkable — despite what looks to have been a direct hit, the building remained standing. In most other countries, such an impact would likely have led to a total collapse or severe compromise of the structure’s integrity.
