A senior Israeli official told Axios that if a favorable agreement with Iran can now be reached following tonight’s U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, it would mark the “end of the story” for Iran’s nuclear program. However, the official warned that if no agreement is reached and Iran attempts to rebuild its nuclear sites, Israel will strike again—just as it has acted against Iran’s efforts to reestablish its presence in Syria and Hezbollah’s attempts to regroup in Lebanon.
