According to AFP, a senior official has confirmed that a U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal is expected to be signed today. Ukrainian media also report that the agreement could be finalized as early as April 30th and note that it features a "50-50 investment structure." The Financial Times, which reviewed the document, describes it as a "framework" agreement. It states that both countries will “seek to create the conditions necessary to, among other objectives, increase investment in mining, energy, and related technology in Ukraine.”
