A colonel in Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), Ivan Voronich, was shot and killed in Kyiv this morning.

According to reports, an unidentified assailant approached Voronich and fired five shots at close range using a silenced pistol before fleeing the scene. Voronich died instantly.

The killing was confirmed by former Member of Parliament Ihar Mosiychuk.
