According to The Wall Street Journal, Russia is gearing up for a summer of sustained assaults on Ukraine, escalating both ground offensives and missile strikes nationwide as U.S. military aid, including crucial air defense systems, remains suspended.

Citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the WSJ reports that roughly 50,000 Russian troops have been massed in the Sumy region, with the objective of advancing toward the regional capital. Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions but are grappling with severe shortages of manpower and equipment.
