Iran has reportedly responded to the U.S.-backed nuclear deal by rejecting the initial proposal and submitting its own counteroffer. According to the New York Times, Tehran’s version of the agreement includes provisions to continue its domestic nuclear enrichment program and demands the dismantling of Israel’s nuclear arsenal, referring to it as a “forced” disarmament.
