In a Truth Social post earlier today, U.S. President Donald J. Trump said he is prepared to impose “major sanctions” on Russia—but only if all NATO members agree to do the same and fully stop purchasing Russian oil, which at this point mainly involves Slovakia and Hungary. He also urged NATO to collectively impose tariffs of 50% to 100% on China, arguing that “China has a strong hold, even a grip, over Russia, and these powerful tariffs will break that grip.”
