Rheinmetall has inaugurated Europe’s largest ammunition factory in Lower Saxony. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce up to 350,000 155mm artillery shells annually by 2027, and rocket artillery starting in 2026. The launch was attended by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
