Outgoing U.S. CENTCOM Commander General Michael E. Kurilla was reported by Israeli officials to be arriving in Israel on Saturday for high-level discussions with military and political leaders about Iran, just one day before the sixth round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks begins in Muscat on Sunday. His visit was also said to include stops in other allied nations, such as Saudi Arabia.
However, the Pentagon has since denied the report, telling Axios’s Barak Ravid that General Kurilla does not have plans to visit Israel on Saturday.
