⚡️Earlier today, Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley made comments to Fox 11LA on how the Los Angeles Fire Department has been hamstrung in their efforts to fight the ongoing wildfires due to the extensive budget cuts during the tenure of Los Angeles Mayor Karin Bass—saying “Yes” when asked if the political leadership had failed them. Subsequently, reports came in that Mayor Bass had summoned and then fired Chief Crowley. These reports have now been denied by the mayor's office. However, the extensive budget cuts did cause the cancelation of key exercises and reductions to funding that most certainly would have left the LAFD far better prepared to tackle the ongoing wildfires.
