Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, came under heavy drone and missile attack tonight as Russia launched a large-scale strike on the city.

Multiple civilian and residential areas were hit, including a residential building in Gatne, where a Shahed drone struck, igniting the upper floors. A school and kindergarten are located nearby.

The assault comes just days after the U.S. froze deliveries of key air defense munitions.

There are reports that Russian forces specifically targeted the Ukrainian PATRIOT battery stationed at Zhuliany Airport. The system may have been running low on interceptors, with dozens reportedly delayed in Poland.
