⚡️U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chavesare held a joint press briefing in the Costa Rican capital city of San José earlier. Both leaders pledged to increase U.S.-Costa Rican interoperability on a number of initiatives, including the expansion of the ongoing Biometric Data Sharing Partnership (BDSP), a U.S. Homeland Security information-sharing framework that compounded on existing ones, to allow for the swift sharing of biometric information in real time with foreign governments and agencies. In this context, the BDSP has been used to aid in the immigration efforts of both the U.S. and Costa Rica.
